DAVID MYERS
CEO & Senior Designer
David is a rare blend of engineer and artist. With degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Design from NC State, he combines technical expertise with creative vision. After years in both engineering and design roles, he found the perfect career in construction, utilizing both skill sets. David leads each project with meticulous attention to detail and ensures every home reflects our values of intentional design, clear communication with clients, and excellence throughout the project.
ASHLEY MYERS
Office Director & Interior Designer
Ashley brings a calming, thoughtful approach to design. With a background in professional organizing and interior styling, she creates spaces that feel peaceful, functional, and beautifully cohesive.
Her earlier career as a palliative care social worker shaped her gift for listening, guiding, and empowering others. Today, she helps clients make confident decisions and curate interiors that reflect their lifestyle and priorities.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR NAME “TANDEM”
The name Tandem is rooted in our personal story. Early in our relationship, David restored a vintage Schwinn tandem bicycle that had been in his family for decades. That bicycle became part of many milestones — from early dates to the ride where David proposed.
Riding a tandem bicycle requires mutual trust, excellent communication, and moving in sync — the same qualities that define a successful design–build partnership. With a shared vision, open communication, and coordinated teamwork, the journey is a blast! This mirrors our philosophy for every project we work on.
